Worked great for my video

So I was working on this little video project for a friend and wanted it to look a bit old school. I found Eclipsi and decided to try their 'VHS Textures'. I wasn't really sure what I was doing at first, but the download was easy enough. Dropped them into Davinci Resolve and they actually looked pretty cool. The video turned out way better than I thought it would. Totally recommend if you want that retro vibe.

Just started using Resolve, are these overlays and textures easy to get into it? Don't want to buy something that's a huge pain to set up.

Yeah, they work fine in Resolve. Just drag and drop like any other footage mostly. Some might need blend modes adjusted but that's standard.

Super easy. I use them in Resolve all the time. No special plugins needed or anything, just import the files.

Can you stack discount codes at checkout? Got a new customer one and saw a bundle deal, wonder if I can use both.

Nah, usually only one code per order. The bundle deals are often automatic though, so if you add the right items to your cart, the discount just shows up without a code.

Definitely not, tried it before. They don't let you stack codes. If there's an automatic bundle discount, that'll apply, but you can only manually enter one coupon code.

I think they do, or at least they used to. Check their site, usually there's a link for it or you have to email them proof.

From what I've seen, the Master Collection does get discounted during bigger sales like Black Friday. I got mine last year with a pretty sweet deal.

I'd say Eclipsi's stuff feels a bit more authentic, especially the film grains. Tropic Colour is good too, but sometimes their assets feel a little more 'produced' if that makes sense.

Both are solid. Eclipsi's Super 8 stuff is killer, probably better than TC's for that specific vibe. For general cinematic looks, it's a toss-up, depends on the pack.
